Nile River Cruises

LOCATION
The River Nile, flowing through Africa, is one of the two longest rivers on Earth.

ABOUT NILE RIVER
The word Nile comes from the word Neilos, a Greek name for the Nile. Another Greek name for the Nile was Aigyptos, which itself is the source of the name Egypt.
Cities situated on the banks of the Nile include Khartoum, Aswan, Luxor and the Giza-Cairo conurbation. The Nile north of Aswan is a regular tourist route, with cruise ships and traditional wooden sailing boats known as feluccas strrewn all over the coast. In addition, many "floating hotel" cruise boats ply the route between Luxor and Aswan.

There is only a single cruise liner, Abercrombie & Kent that plys on the River Nile and operates different ships. They are:

Sun Boat III
A four-day cruise, it will start from Aswan and saill through Kom Ombo, Edfu, Esna, Luxor, Abydos, Qena and Dendara, finally docking at Luxor

Sun Boat IV
It is a 3-day cruise through Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Esna and Luxor
